Siskiyou Wanderers July 2011 Hike Schedule

Here’s the July, 2011 hiking schedule for the Siskiyou Wanderers (reprinted with permission):

July 7: Fawn Creek Meadows: Above Forest Rd 26 to Gumboot Lake is this lovely meadow well known for its flowers. After the hike we will have a potluck at Connie Marments home, equally known for it’s lovely flowers. Bring a dish to share.
AD: 6-7miles THE: 5650′ AEG: 800′ PMP: Mt Shasta Fish Hatchery T: 8:30 am.

July 14: Kangaroo Lake & Bull Lake: This is a beautiful hike along the PCT with spectacular views looking south into the Trinities and Eddies.
AD: 7 miles THE: 6500′ AEG: 800′ PMP: Gazelle Grange T: 8:30 am.

July 21: Box Camp: The USDA/FS print out lists this as “moderately difficult” and scenic. Ted says it’s fabulous. So come prepared and come early. We need to meet at 8am to get an earlier start.
AD: 10+ miles THE: 4740′ AEG: 2020′ PMP: Rays Market, Ft Jones T: 8:00 am.

July 28: Whitney Falls: Randy will lead us to the falls of Whitney Creek on the north side of Mt Shasta. It doesn’t look like we’ve done this hike since 2003.
AD: 5 miles. THE: 5400′ AEG: 1200′ PMP: A-12 & Hwy 97 T: 8:30 am
