MSTA board member Barry Price leads the way to the top of Mt. Eddy on July 13, 2013.

Our July 13th hosted hike to the Deadfall Lakes and Mt. Eddy was featured in a Record Searchlight newspaper article on July 21st.  Journalist Richard DePertuis joined the 26 other hikers that went from Parks Creek Trailhead to the top of the highest peak in the Klamath Mountains.  Here’s a link to the article:

  1. It sure would be nice if those of us who were on the hike, and whose images and words were used in the article, did not have to subscribe to the Searchlight in order to read it!

  2. I certainly agree! Wish I could read the article somehow. My friend and I drove all the way from Los Angeles to hike in your area. Joan, Barry and the others led a wonderful and informative hike. We met such interesting and friendly folks, too. Hope to join you all again on my next trip to the Shasta region.
