On Saturday morning, five of us went into the forest just south of 89 to clean up some trash. When we got there, however, we found multiple illegal dump sites containing washers, sofas, bar stools, carpet, garbage, etc. There was too much to remove, so we got some of it and made plans.
On Tuesday, Dec. 5, we are going to meet at the Park and Ride just east of the I-5 and Highway 89 intersection at 9 am. Sean Doyle will bring his dump trailer and Tom Heilmann will bring his tractor. We’ll drive into the trashed area, gather up everything, and haul it to the dump where it belongs.
WE NEED HELP TO PULL ALL THE STUFF FROM THE FOREST TO THE FIRE ROAD! Most of it is small and only needs to be carried a few feet, but there’s so much that four or five of us won’t be able to get it all. Glenn and I and Tom and Sean will carry the heavy stuff and load it. All you need to do is help gather up the loose, small stuff. We’ll also bring trash cans and garbage bags.
THIS A MAJOR EFFORT TO CLEAN OUR BEAUTIFUL FOREST AND WE NEED BODIES!
If you only come for an hour or so, we’ll be grateful.
Spread the word.
